Wild Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. box long grain wild rice
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. margarine
    8 slices American cheese
    1 large green bell pepper, chopped
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 c. half and half
    4 oz. can mushroom stems and pieces
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Prepare rice as directions on package direct.
    Saute pepper, onions and mushrooms in 1/2 cup margarine. Drain rice.
    Layer rice, sauteed mixture and grated cheese in 2-quart casserole in that order, ending with cheese.
    Pour half and half on entire mixture.
    Place in preheated oven and bake 30 minutes.
    Serves 6.
