Hickory Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. milk
    6 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 stiffly beaten egg whites
    3/4 c. butter
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with milk.
    Add nuts with dry ingredients.
    Last fold in egg whites and vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
