Apple Pie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. diced apples
1/2 c. nuts

Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening together.
Beat in the eggs. Sift together the flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add flour and then fold in the apples and nuts.
Bake in greased Pyrex 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
