Carrot Bread With Raisins And Caraway Seed - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. caraway seed
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground allspice
    1/8 tsp. ground cloves
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. grated carrots
    1 c. raisins
    4 Tbsp. butter, softened
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine flour, caraway seed, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, carrot and raisins.
    Stir together butter and sugar.
    Add egg; combine well.
    Stir buttermilk and rind.
    Add to flour mixture and stir until just combined. Divide batter between 2 buttered loaf pans.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until a skewer comes out clean.
    Let loaves cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans. Freezes well.
