Quick Nut Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
4 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 small cake yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
Preparation

Combine buttermilk with sugar, salt, soda, shortening, eggs, softened yeast and half the flour in bowl.
Beat 2 minutes real hard until smooth.
Stir in remaining flour to a soft dough.
Add more flour if needed until elastic.
Divide in three.
Roll out into oblong pieces.
Spread with filling.
Put milk around edges. Put on cookie sheet.
Let rise until double.
Beat eggs and milk and spread on top.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
