Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 apples, peeled, cored and sliced thin
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. or more nutmeg
    1/4 stick oleo (dotted on top)
    pastry for 9-inch 2-crust pie
    1 Tbsp. or more cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. or more allspice
Preparation
    Mix sugar and spices together.
    In bottom of crust, line apples in thick layer.
    Spread generously with sugar/spice mixture.
    Repeat.
    Fill crust very full, as apples cook down.
    Dot oleo on top and put top crust on.
    Cut vent holes in top and seal to bottom crust.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 40 to 60 minutes.
    If edges begin to get too brown, cover with foil.
