Million Dollar Pecan Pie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 c. for filling)
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped pecans
    remaining cake mix
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
    Pour over partially baked crust and sprinkle with finely chopped pecans.
    Return to oven and bake 35 minutes until filling is set.
    Cool and cut into squares. Makes 3 dozen.
