Sky-High Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    3 1/3 c. self-rising flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Heat
    oven to 450\u00b0.
    Cut shortening into flour and sugar until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
    Beat egg and milk slightly;
    stir into
    flour
    mixture
    until
    soft dough forms.
    Turn dough\tonto lightly floured board.
    Knead 10 times, sprinkling with
    flour
    if dough is too sticky.
    Roll or pat dough 1 inch thick.
    Cut
    with floured 2-inch biscuit cutter.
    Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake until golden brown, 10
    to
    12 minutes.
    Immediately
    remove
    from
    cookie
    sheet. Yield:\t15 biscuits.
