Savory Potato-Carrot Fry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    4 c. (3 to 4 medium) potatoes, peeled and sliced
    2 c. peeled and sliced carrots
    1 medium onion, chopped fine
    3/4 tsp. each: salt, garlic powder and dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter in 10-inch skillet.
    Add remaining ingredients; cover.
    Cook, turning with spatula occasionally over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Uncover; continue cooking, turning frequently, until potatoes and carrots are tender and potatoes start to crisp and turn golden brown (15 to 25 minutes).
