Ingredients

2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
any variation of the following: 1 c. chopped nuts and 1/4 c. chopped cherries with 1/2 tsp. vanilla or 1 small can coconut and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, or 1 pkg. chocolate chips and 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven
to
350\u00b0.
Beat
egg whites with cream of tartar until
very
stiff.
Gradually add sugar and beat until mixture holds
peaks
and is glossy.
Fold in with a spoon any variation listed.
Place
by teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet and put in oven. Turn off oven and leave cookies in for 8 to 10 hours or overnight.
