Fried Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. dry milk (optional)
1 c. warm water or milk
1/2 tsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Add water and shortening. Knead briefly.
Let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
Form into balls, flatten and make a hole in center.
Fry in oil, turning once until golden brown and crisp.
