Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. white Karo
    1 c. water
    3 tsp. soda
    1 qt. raw peanuts
    lump of paraffin wax (size of marble)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, Karo, water and peanuts in large saucepan and cook over low heat 50 minutes.
    Add paraffin.
    Remove from stove. Add soda quickly.
    Pour at once onto a greased baking sheet and let stand until cold.
    Break into pieces.
    Yields 3 pounds.
