Baked Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops
    1 to 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 small onion, chopped (3/4 c.)
    2 (14 1/2 oz. or 15 oz. each) stewed tomatoes
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded (about 1 c.)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Trim fat from chops, heat fat in large skillet over medium-low heat until skillet is coated with fat. Discard trimmings.
    Brown both sides of chops about 15 minutes total.
    Transfer chops to a shallow 2-quart oblong baking dish.
