Company Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (16 1/2 oz.) can light (Royal Anne) cherries, drained
1 can pears, drained and cut up
1 lb. miniature marshmallows
1 pt. heavy whipping cream, whipped
juice of 1 lemon
Preparation

Heat the milk and slowly add to egg yolks, stirring constantly.
Boil slowly until thick and remove from heat and cool completely.
Put pineapple, cherries, pears and marshmallows in large bowl.
Add the juice of 1 lemon and the cooled egg yolk mixture.
Fold in the whipped cream.
Let stand overnight.
Serves 15 to 18.
