Mom'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    6 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    2 c. dark molasses
    2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. soda
    2/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix eggs, molasses, shortening and sugar together, then add ginger, cloves, allspice and flour.
    Mix soda and water and add to mixture and mix well with other ingredients.
    Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
