Eternal Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage
    1 medium green pepper
    1 medium onion
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Shred cabbage, pepper and onion.
    Pour 1 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon salt over.
    Heat vinegar, oil, celery seed and sugar and then cool completely.
    Pour over cabbage mixture and seal. Keep in refrigerator.
    The longer you keep it, the better it is.
