Ingredients

1 1/2 c. Crisco (butter flavored)
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in hot water
4 eggs
5 1/2 c. flour
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Mix Crisco and brown and white sugars until creamy. Add salt, soda and eggs. Beat 10 minutes until fluffy. Add flour; mix well. Fold in chocolate chips. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes a double batch.
