Old-Fashioned Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chicken broth
    4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    4 qt. broth or soup
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add 1 cup chicken broth and oil, stirring well until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Turn dough out on a floured surface and form into a ball.
    Roll dough to a 1/16-inch thickness.
    Cut into 5 x 1-inch strips.
    Drop dumplings into boiling broth.
    Cover and cook 15 minutes or until dumplings are tender.
    Makes 16 servings (that's what the cookbook says it must be mouse size servings).
    Can add poultry seasoning, sage and onion to taste.
