Baked Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. pea beans
1/2 lb. salt pork
8 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. hot water
2/3 c. molasses
2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 medium onion
Preparation

Soak beans overnight.
In morning, change water and parboil them for 15 minutes with baking soda.
Drain beans and rinse with cold water.
Dice salt pork rind in 1-inch squares.
Place in bottom of bean pot.
Add whole onion.
Add beans.
Mix remaining ingredients with hot water.
Add to pot.
Beans should be covered with liquid.
Add small amount of water, if necessary.
Bake for 6 hours at 300\u00b0.
