Shaker Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour (white or whole wheat)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 beaten egg
    1 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Mix sifted dry ingredients and nuts together.
    Combine egg, applesauce and oil.
    Add this to dry ingredients.
    Stir until blended.
    Pour mixture into 5 x 9-inch greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
