Overnight Chicken Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 chicken breasts, boiled and cubed, or 2 c. canned chicken
    4 c. lettuce, torn in small pieces
    1 (6 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
    4 green onions, thinly sliced
    1 c. salad dressing or mayonnaise
    1/3 c. buttermilk salad dressing*
Preparation
    *Mix a 0.4-ounce package of buttermilk dressing mix according to directions.
    Use 1/3 cup for this recipe and refrigerate the rest.
    Stays fresh 3 to 4 weeks.
