Cranberry And Pear Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1 1/2 lb. pears, peeled and cut up
    3 c. fresh cranberries
    1 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and lemon juice in a pan. Bring to a boil, stirring, then simmer for 5 minutes. Add the pears. Boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Add the cranberries, then bring to a boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat and add the ground allspice. Let cool and add lemon juice to taste. Transfer to glass bowl and refrigerate.
