Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
2 Tbsp. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. crushed pineapple
3 oz. coconut
Duncan Hines lemon cake mix (follow directions on box)
Preparation

Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in pan.
Cover and bring to boil.
Uncover when it starts to boil.
Beat egg whites.
Test mixture, drop a small amount of mixture in cup of cold water. If drop forms a ball, mixture is ready.
Pour mixture into egg whites.
Add vanilla.
Spread mixture on cake.
Add pineapple and coconut.
