Surprise Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/3 c. buttermilk
    1 stick butter, melted
    3 large eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 medium fresh beets (8 oz.), peeled and grated finely
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    In large bowl, mix sugar, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda. Whisk in buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.
    Stir in beets.
    Pour into prepared dish.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
    Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut in pan.
    Serve with Chocolate-Buttermilk Sauce (recipe below).
