Irish Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. nuts (optional)
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites, salt, cream of tartar and vanilla until peaks form.
    Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff.
    Fold in chocolate and nuts.
    Drop onto cookie sheets.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
