English Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 lb. butter
    1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. water
    4 Hershey chocolate bars
Preparation
    Spread well chopped pecans on bottom of an 8-inch square baking pan.
    Melt butter slowly in a skillet.
    Add sugar and water to melted butter, stirring constantly.
    Bring to boil over high heat. Cook and stir until mixture turns light brown, about 5 minutes. Pour this mixture immediately over pecans and spread evenly to sides of pan.
    Break chocolate bars into squares and place on hot toffee.
    When melted, spread over toffee.
    Cool; break into pieces and store in covered container.
