California Zucchini Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    3 medium zucchini, sliced thin
    1/4 c. sliced green onions with tops
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 (7 oz.) can green chiles, chopped
    3 c. cooked rice
    1 c. sour cream
    2 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese, divided
    1 large tomato, sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute beef, zucchini, onions and seasonings in a lightly greased skillet, until vegetables are tender-crisp, stirring frequently.
    Drain, add green chiles, rice, sour cream and 1 cup cheese.
    Turn into a buttered shallow 2-quart casserole.
