Rich Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    2 qt. milk
    1 qt. whipping cream
    1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour
    and
    salt
    in
    a mixing bowl; add eggs. Beat at high speed of an electric mixer for 1 minute or until dry ingredients
    are
    moistened.
    Heat\tmilk
    in a large Dutch oven over
    medium
    heat\tuntil
    hot.
    Add
    egg
    mixture, stirring until blended.
    Cook
    until
    mixture boils, stirring constantly. Remove from
    heat.\tChill at least 2 hours.
    Stir in whipping cream
    and\tvanilla.
    Pour\tinto freezer.
    Freeze according to manufacturers instructions.
    Let ripen 1 1/2 to 2 hours before serving.
    Yields 5 quarts.
