Cranberry Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 1/2 or 2 c. cranberries, halved
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 Tbsp. soda
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1 Tbsp. orange rind
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Pour juice, rind and oil in cup.
    Add enough boiling water to make 3/4 cup.
    Combine with well-beaten egg.
    Stir in dry ingredients until damp.
    Add nuts and cranberries.
    Pour into pan and let set for 20 minutes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
