Mildred Brownfield'S Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1 lb. candied cherries
    1 lb. dates
    1 lb. pecans
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    2 whole eggs
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 Tbsp. buttermilk, mixed with 1/2 tsp. soda
    4 Tbsp. orange juice
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Sift 1/2 cup flour over the fruit and nuts.
    Sift remaining flour and spices together.
    Mix buttermilk and soda.
    Cream sugar, butter and eggs as usual.
    Add other ingredients and then add batter to floured fruits.
    Bake on cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
