Macaroni Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can pineapple, drained and reserve juice
    4 beaten eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1 1/2 c. uncooked macaroni
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 c. Cool Whip
    nutmeats (optional)
Preparation
    Cook macaroni according to directions; should make 3 cups. Combine eggs, pineapple juice, sugar and lemon juice in large saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Cool; add cooked macaroni and chill overnight.
    Before serving, add marshmallows, Cool Whip and nutmeats.
    An unpeeled red apple may be used for added color.
