Beef Burgundy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    3 1/2 c. cubed round steak
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans Swanson beef broth
    1 c. Burgundy wine
    1/2 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
    12 small canned onions
Preparation
    Melt shortening and brown meat.
    Stir in flour, salt, thyme and pepper, scraping well.
    Place all in 2-quart casserole dish.
    Pour in 1 can of broth.
    Bake 2 hours in 325\u00b0 oven.
    Add mushrooms, onions, 1 can broth and 1/2 cup of wine.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours more until tender.
    Serves 8.
