German Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 7 potatoes
    1 lb. bacon
    1 onion
    4 Knorr beef bouillon
    8 c. water
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and dice into 1/2 to 1-inch cubes. Dice bacon and chop onion. Fry bacon and onion until crisp.
    Drain off grease. Bring water and bouillon to a boil. Add potatoes, bacon and onion. Cook until the potatoes are done. Serve with breadsticks or crescent rolls.
    (I like to mash the potatoes once they are in my bowl.)
