Diana Hege'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    3 c. plain flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Cream the butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add extracts and blend well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and continue beating after each addition.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately to creamed mixture with milk. Pour into a greased and floured good size tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until done.
