Picante Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

20 c. tomatoes, peeled and chopped
4 c. onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
8 hot jalapeno peppers, seeded
4 Tbsp. green chiles, chopped or sweet peppers
10 tsp. sugar
10 tsp. vinegar
5 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cilantro
1 tsp. cumin
Preparation
-
Combine all ingredients in large pot.
Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 25 to 30 minutes.
Put in hot sterilized jars and seal.
Process in hot water bath for 35 minutes.
Makes about 16 pints.
