Baked Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium to large tart apples
    4 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Wash apples. Core.
    Remove a thin strip of the peel from around the center of apple to prevent the peel from bursting. Pour 1/2-inch water into baking pan; fill the centers of apples with the sugar.
    Cover and bake at 375\u00b0 until done. For a good glaze over apples leave cover off and spoon syrup over apples every 10 minutes.
    Test by piercing with a toothpick.
    Serve for breakfast with cream.
