Mrs. Thomlinson'S Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. margarine or shortening
    1/2 c. raisins
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon (for glaze)
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl.
    Add margarine and cut in.
    Add raisins.
    Separate the egg yolk from one egg.
    Set aside.
    Beat remaining egg white and whole egg with milk.
    Combine mixtures and mix with a few strokes.
    Turn out on a floured board and pat 3/4-inch thick.
    Cut in triangles and place on a greased pan.
    Brush top with egg yolk; sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
