Party Pink Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3/4 c. light corn syrup
3/4 c. water
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Combine sugar, corn syrup and water; bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat and cook to hard ball stage (252\u00b0), stirring occasionally.
Combine beaten egg whites and gelatin. Beat until mixture forms peaks.
(May use any flavor gelatin.) Pour hot syrup in thin stream into egg whites, beating until loses gloss and holds shape.
Fold in coconut and nuts.
Pour into greased 9-inch square pan.
Top with rows of chopped pecans or coconut.
Makes 5 dozen.
