Mama'S Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    4 large eggs
    3 c. sifted cake flour (she used regular plain flour)
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter, adding sugar gradually. Beat with electric mixer for 10 minutes. (She beat her batter by hand). Sift dry ingredients. Add eggs one at a time to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Add flour mixture with milk, almond, and vanilla extracts. Pour into 3 greased 9 inch pans. Line bottom of pans with wax paper. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on racks.
