Cheese And Egg Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 slices bread
    10 oz. Cheddar cheese
    1 lb. bacon, drained
    8 eggs
    1 pt. whipping cream
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
Preparation
    Remove crust from bread.
    Cut white bread into 1-inch squares. Fry bacon crisp.
    Crumble.
    Layer in a 9 x 13-inch dish:
    bread, cheese, bacon, cheese, bread, etc.
    Beat eggs, add cream (do not whip) and salt.
    Pour over layers.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Remove from refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking.
    Melt margarine and pour over mixture.
