Coconut Frosting Tinted Pink - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites, unbeaten
2 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
2 tsp. light corn syrup
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine egg whites, sugar, water and corn syrup in top of double boiler.
Beat until thoroughly mixed, then place over rapidly boiling water, beating constantly and cook for 18 minutes or until frosting will stand in peaks.
Add coloring to hot frosting to give delicate shell pink tint.
Remove from boiling water, add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread.
Makes enough frosting for 3 layer cake and 1 extra cup for decorating.
