Sour Milk Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
6 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 8 x 8 x 2-inch cake pan. Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add flour, soda and salt alternately with sour milk.
Flavor with vanilla and nutmeg.
If you want crumbs on top of cake, take out 1/3 cup of mixture before adding milk.
