Apple Nut Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. margarine or butter, melted
1 medium apple, chopped
Preparation

Combine nuts, sugar, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Combine flour, 1/3 cup brown sugar, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and salt.
Make a well in the center.
Combine egg, milk and margarine; add to flour mixture.
Stir until moistened.
Fold in apple.
Lightly grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper bake cups; fill 2/3 full.
Sprinkle with nut mixture. Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
Remove from pans.
