Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
40 Kraft caramels
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (16 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Mix German chocolate cake as directed on package.
Put half of batter into a greased and floured 13 x 8-inch pan.
Bake 15 minutes at 250\u00b0.
