Mama'S Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    3 eggs
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter, add sugar and eggs, beat well.
    Sift flour and salt; add to butter mixture along with milk, baking powder, soda and vanilla.
    Beat until batter is of smooth consistency.
    Pour into well-greased pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes. Makes 3 layers.
    Cool for 10 minutes before icing with Seven Minute Icing.
    Sprinkle each layer with chopped pecans.
