Beet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 pt. water
    1 stick cinnamon
    1/2 c. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine liquids, sugar, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Place cooked and peeled beets into jars.
    Add cinnamon stick and pour boiling liquid over beets.
    Seal.
    This makes about 1 quart beets.
