Rice Mingle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. wild rice
    2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 (10 oz.) cans beef consomme, undiluted
    1 soup can water
    1 1/2 c. regular long-grain rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Wash wild rice and add to 2 cups salted boiling water.
    Cover and reduce heat.
    Cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
    (This may take as long as 1 1/2 hours; start checking after one hour.)
