Holubby Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. cooked rice
    salt
    1 egg
    1 chopped onion
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1/2 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Cook cabbage in boiling water for 5 minutes.
    Cut up cabbage. Brown meat; drain.
    Mix with rice, egg, onion and salt.
    Mix tomato sauce and brown sugar.
    Place meat, cabbage and sauce in alternating layers in a casserole.
    Cover with foil.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or longer.
    Uncover and brown top about 10 minutes.
