Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix (2 layers)
    2 boxes Jell-O instant vanilla pudding
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    3 or 4 bananas
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
    1 large can pie filling (strawberry, blueberry or cherry)
    14 oz. bag coconut
    2 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
Preparation
    Lay
    one
    layer
    in bottom of punch bowl; if it doesn't fit, cut
    to fit and save the rest of layer to fill in as bowl widens. Drain
    pineapple and lay half of can over layer.
    Fix vanilla pudding
    according to directions on package and cover pineapple. Layer
    bananas and strawberries (if not available, may
    substitute 1
    can
    fruit
    cocktail),
    layer pie filling, coconut,
    pecans and top with Cool Whip.
    Put next cake layer and
    repeat
    the process,
    except
    I cover the Cool Whip with pecans on the top.
