Joyce'S Oven Ribs - cooking recipe

3 to 4 lb. pork spareribs
1/2 c. barbecue sauce (bottled)
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. honey
2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
1/4 c. grape jelly
1 Tbsp. bottled steak sauce
Preparation

Precook ribs on a rack in an open roasting pan at 475\u00b0 until ribs are crisped and lightly browned (20 to 30 minutes).
Lower oven temperature to 300\u00b0.
Baste ribs with sauce made by mixing remaining ingredients.
Pour 2 cups hot water in bottom of pan and cover roaster.
Cook ribs 2 to 3 hours, basting with sauce occasionally (for longer cooking, lower heat to 250\u00b0 to 275\u00b0).
